Christians should know

We all have been looking in to scripture for years and If we have to write a letter to a person or group of people about suffering then what would be the content of that letter?

Before we proceed lets look in to 1 Peter 1:3-5) Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you, Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

  • Peter starts his letter with who you are?
  • Then moves on with understanding of what God is doing here and now (v6-9) and
  • strengthens them to live life with hope (v13) and
  • live life of holyness (v16).

Hurdles are found often in all belivers life but how we look at it is very important, even Daniel at pagan culture was in there mids but hold fast to his faith and he interpreted God’s will pretty well and held fast to it without compromise. So how do we interpretate our’s and your’s situation since they are not as big as in history but stands hard in today’s day to day life?

First and foundational truth is there is no system of redemption as of orginaziation (this is where man made religion fails) but there is redeemed whom we seek and focus on CHRIST as He is the truth and not as some system of deliverance as religious ceremonials or rituals. Taking examples, religious people tend run to church because they had issues in life and look for council it from pastors (that’s fine as initial step) but where they end up there hope is very important factor (i.e., ***in pastor or Christ?***) We (belivers) should not have hope on system but on Christ because Christ is saviour not any person you council.

Every beliver supports his brotherins like John the Baptist who pointed people to Christ not to himself infact that is the preparotary work for all belivers who learn how to lead people to Christ as John refers to that person (Christ) a perfect King.

It has to be understood that Christ purchased our redemption. Gods sovernity Where God went to great lengths to provide redemption so do God presents us to go through great length for salvation. It’s Gods Grace in book of thimothy we see twice as Paul writes “I obtained mercy” through Gods grace and to be understood that our main purpose is to live for God’s glory where bible says in coming days where earth shall be filled with the knowledge of God which I belive these words are talking about our reign with Christ (millennium).

So what does REDEMPTION involve?

  • Salvation
  • Scantification
  • Glorification

Which all found in Christ our saviour not us. Belivers doesn’t bring changes in people life by there artificial powers as Charles Spurgeon says “You have to transform to Christlikeness and let Holy Spirit who dwells in belivers always will guide, but still as it is not our work so we dont glorify us but God” so evangelising is not hypocritical act of advertising there church members or events or activities or glamours where you will be glorified in place of Christ as God doesn’t wants your left over food where you eat orange and give God peeled skins by taking Hos name in vain. But evangelising is living Christ like character without that all are hypocrite. People says for counsious sake that I belived or changed but by heart they are not, John 1:14-17 says about means of salvation, And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. John bare witness of him, and cried, saying, This was he of whom I spake, He that cometh after me is preferred before me: for he was before me. And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace. For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ. Jesus bought truth and Grace so target of heart is truth and grace is the need, the example of grace and truth can be taken from bible " An adulterous woman who was delivered from sin by CHrist (God) by cleans her sin which is inward repentance".

Bible says way of sin is death, so God sent his son for our redemption as there is no other way. God is seeking to destroy all person of fall (addicted to sinful world) and we (belivers) have responsibility to show the love of God to the world.

Look at book of Jonah where God gives responsibility to a man and God saves whole nation.

Dont be one who run away from God’s mission but stand with Him till last breath.

Self-control in this world

Philosophy and Arts of this world is Toxic

  • Plato had his own philosophical theory of Universal*

  • Aristolle had his own philosophical theory of Particulars

Almost of every philosophy from that time to today falls in same category of mans fallen theory and shows his lack of understanding and rejection of God.

1Cor 15 says God is Universal.

In todays world people may kill babies (abortion) and same save wild life ortrees saying good of outward appearance and so are called universalist but that which does not have any spiritual control of life (which I say blasphemy) none of morality without God is holy but and sin. Self control can be developed in all persons including believers and unbelievers as it is an common grace obtained from God which all person got from His nature.

Why do believers need to have self-control ? because of words Universality, for we know drinking brings down human ability of thinking and self control but still christians do so just because of worlds universality. Where that is sin because that goes against word of God as right knowledge of God is always got from Bible, Christian fellowship, by seeing and hearing and speaking word of God (which is sharing our study not just attending & hearing sermons in church).

Self-control is giving obedience to God’s word in God’s spirit. Through common grace people can develop self-control even they are believers or non believers, best example is defence departments, but believers gets honour from God and other (non believer) gets none.

Being like Christ is not self-control on just material and spiritual substance but be committed and disciplined to be and like Him by studying His word and producing fruit (spiritual) that makes God Happy.

Becoming LikeChrist

Becoming like Christ should be the main purpose of christian life and rest all effort is to support this purpose.

How that works?

  • First stage is to come to Christ,
  • Second stage is to commit to Christ,
  • Third Stage is to work to be like Christ.

How to become like Christ?

The word agápe means self sacrifice and more similar meaning comes out and this is not normal word in greek language as paul bought up for specific purpose and in same agápe means love. For all that we need some discipline and commitment to meet that excellency. In fact the word Virtue (Arete) means excellence, where some thing was defined by its Purpose (Telus), for example if we use knife to cut meat or vegetables then that is its excellence but if it is kept in museum or in shelf for display of its beauty then it is not showing its excellence by its outward look as it is not fulfilling its purpose.

So what is the purpose of Christian?

1 Peter 2:9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:

So delivers purpose is to show excellency of Jesus Christ. So we are not some part of body that stop growing but to keep growing, our goal is to keep following and obeying Bible (word of God) to keep growing which meant to spend time with God through study and understanding. So to keep growing we need to make mind to obey and be like christ which is doing again and again which is cultivating the ability to show and be the excellence of Christ. We see in Matthew 11:28 where Jesus stops and walks to blind men to give sight/light and how are our ways are we going out to give light to our surrounding world? we must understand the ways of Christ.

Obedience is a key principal for any believer and it is not an optional choice but compulsory, which should never be a burden for regenerated person but should always be blessing in scantification.
